Standards

In the 18 years of the college existence there has never be a day or time when the college compromises standard in anything. The following are examples of standards adhered to by the college:

1. Employment: All the teachers in the college are University graduates who undergo interview by a team of repute academicians and educationist before employment.
2. Provision of facilities and working documents: The College has invested heavily in infrastructures as can be seen below and the working documents such as reagents in the laboratories and other facilities are on top priority of the College at all times.
3. Part time teaching: The services of University &Tertiary Institution lecturers are engaged by the college not because the college teachers are inadequate or cannot deliver but just to expose the students to advance standards. This is indeed yielding positive results, as late Hajiya used to follow the performance of the old girls in the University.
4. Relationship with Accreditation Boards: The College has maintained a cordial relationships with Kano Educational Resource Department (KERD) and National Board for Educational Management a state and national accreditation boards respectively. Teams of experts were invited from the boards several times to inspect the college and to provide suggestions for improvements.
5. Examination administration: The College follows all the rules of examination administration as provided by educationists. In addition to that examinations like Pre Jamb/SSCE/post UTME are organized to the students to prepare them for external examinations.
6. Relationships with educationists: The College respects and considers the opinions of distinguished educationists. Distiquished Professors Danjuma Maiwada, Garba Duhuwa Azare and Yahuza Bello are scholars of highest repute among others that remain great assets to the College and their views become code of conducts of the College.

Zero tolerance to corruption

The College been a girls institution and an institution that promotes our norms and religious values requires extra effort on discipline. To this effect a strong committee has been in existence for discipline and in addition the College Imam and some invited scholars preach the importance of moral values. In summary no student of the college or a staff is allowed to misbehave under any circumstance. The college has disciplinary rules.

Training of teachers/commendations:

It is the Philosophy of the college that training of the teachers is by extension training to the students. In this regard the College reluctantly invests in training of the staff. Engagement of the service of International Educational Consultant

To further uplift the college to meet international standard the Management decided to employ the services of an internationally recognized educationist as a Senior Advisory Consultant. Her job is to analyze and review the whole system, streamline planning for teachers and resource development, general documentation such as review of job descriptions, strategic plan, annual plan, and assist in literacy/ Language across the curriculum, revival of Students clubs such as (writer’s workshops, agric, debating, lawyers, medical etc) as well as Professional development. Most importantly also she is to workout modalities and prepare the students to write international examinations such as Cambridge and/or London GCE.
